2nd Anniversary Giveaway
Aloha kakou, Inu A Kena ohana!
As posted in my previous entry, this week marks the second anniversary of this site, and I’m giving away a special item to commemorate the occasion: it’s an Inu A Kena skate deck! Although I don’t skate much these days, I used to shred daily as a grom. I even worked at a couple of skate shops when I was in high school, so handing out skate decks is second nature for me. Here’s the description from the manufacturer of this retro deck:
“Cali 70’s flashback shape with a pointed nose and tapered tail. Perfect for gyrating down the boardwalk and head dippin’ tube rides under the palm trees. The best quality hard-rock maple and an unrivaled patent-pending printing process make this the best skateboard available in the world.”
Here’s a photo, the graphic is the same as the site’s header image:
Want a chance to win? Just post a comment below and tell me what you’d do with the deck. I’ll pick a winner on Thursday and you’ll have your prize in no time via UPS.
Wishing you pomaika’i (good luck)!
Aloha,
Josh
I definetly would hang that board for dekoration on a wall of my “lounge”. Love your blog, would be an honour to present this in my bar.
I’d strap some Independent Trucks on it with some Spitfire wheels and thrash the streets of New York! Cheers!
I too would hang it in my bar or maybe a serving tray for rum flights
It would go on the wall of the sneaki tiki, when it is constructed.
My friend, Everett, has started a skateboarding program at his school in Red Deer, Alberta, where he is a counsellor. This program is a chance to teach students not only how to skateboard, but how to build and design them, as well. It was his chance to try something new – engage hard-to-reach students in a new way. This program is likely the only one of its kind in Canada; there is some thought that it is in some schools in the United States. It coincides with The City of Red Deer recently constructing a 21,000 square foot skate park near the school, in a part of the city that had few amenities.
I would donate this skate deck to the program, with the hope that it would give a kid the chance to learn how to skateboard (as I don’t skateboard myself).
You can read more on Everett and his program here (from our local newspaper: http://www.reddeeradvocate.com/news/Unique_skateboard_program_starts_225278562.html?mobile=true
Thanks, and all the best. Love the rum reviews.
Jeremy
Bedside bar for my agricole rum collection!
I would probably drink some rum to get my courage up to learn to skate, probably get too drunk because I have a large collection of good rum, wake up the next day hung over and try again without the rum after having learned my lesson.
I’d put it on the wall of my tiki bar next to a bunch of jungle vines and parrots and snakes and tikis and torches…
after taking a ride down the hill in front of my house I would strap it to the ceiling in my home rum bar and have my friend paint a mural around it…a conversation starter for sure
I’ve been thinking bars with mirrors are very cliche! Skate decks behind the bar…. Yeah, That’s Kahuna Style!
Hi, I would like to hang the board on the wall for decration in a friends “lounge”. Would be an honour for him an me to present this.
Greetings Lukas
